Born and raised in Colorado, Rebekah Dove now resides in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She shares her passion for the arts in the mediums of painting, pottery and music. Since elementary school, she has won awards for her talent in her sketches and paintings. During college, she took a pottery class where she fell in love with the hands on approach of creating art on the wheel. She has since studied at the Chapman Cultural Center, where she has excelled in finding her expression through clay. In March of 2014, Rebekah decided to go full time as an artist and musician. She and her husband started an original indie rock band together called Dove On A Wire. After releasing their first five song EP, her husband encouraged her to create paintings and a collection of pottery for each song. Stepping up to the challenge, she has had new purpose and direction for her artwork. In August 2014, her “Caverns Of The Deep” oil pastel on canvas painting was accepted in the 2nd Annual Juried Exhibition on display at the Spartanburg Library. In December 2014, she was accepted into West Main Artist Co-Op. Rebekah continues to create visual and musical artwork fully on display at the WMAC.
